Moses and the Call
Moses..
A man of God,
Once moved with a flaming zeal to pursue God's will and calling,
A man ready to bury for the sake of the call
A man ready to act prematurely out of anger,
.....a man zealous for God.
40 years later...
Under the scorching desert sun, all hopes gone,
all fancy desires of being in command gone,
the zeal that once stirred him faded into oblivion,
Simplicity and no future are now the new norm,
The man no longer has the fire of youth to pursue and be all that he thought he would be,
Fear...
Moses is afraid of becoming what he had earlier in his youth yearned to be,
...A young deliverer, ready to act without thinking, zealous with less knowledge...,
With age, reality has checked in,
what he thought he could handle single handed is now insurmountable,
After years of reflection, it has downed on him how feeble he is,
He is in need of a deliverer, leave alone being a deliverer,
...With age comes a maturity that tells you that even breathing alone is a miracle!
and that you need God in all that you do, what of His calling?
God..
As for our God,
He knows our secret desires and fears,
He knows our longings and yearnings,
He searches the hearts of men and draws out evil thoughts,
He answers our fears with faith..
The man Moses was afraid because he had been a fugitive for 40 years,
Murder was his the crime and death was the sentence,
Yet God calls him and sends him to where he is being sought after,
Since God knew the fear, he dealt with it...Return to Egypt, for all those who wanted to kill you have died Exodus 4:19, With that, the man of God was ready to go!
He will answer your fear.
